locus of desire
by Alexandra Hartman my body speaks
hushed
wordless
silent anatomy of the dead
muscles shift
bones creak like ancient beams
desire caged in rib
under speechless skin
voiceless ravenous longing
yearning in the place of quiet listen
this is the portal
the soothing bed of welcome
and I am frightened
but these are just eyes
through which I see
be safe
this is the God place
the place where flesh informs the world
